More thoughts on life

I have learned so much in the past little while, and I think I will continue to learn that much. It’s awesome. It’s exciting.

My life is full and wonderful.

I have more on my plate than ever before, and never enough time to get everything done that I want to. Do you want to hear at least in part my secret for survival?

It’s called focusing on people. When I am worried about myself and what I need to get done, and the fact that I am usually a bit behind, I stress out and worry. When I am focusing on people around me, on helping them, serving them, accepting them, brightening their day, then I stop being so worried about everything I need done.

I am really grateful right now that I have lots of opportunities to serve, or try to serve, the people around me. A lot of what is on my plate right now is serving others, instead of fulfilling my own projects. I really love doing all of it. I will be excited to graduate from school in part because that means I can focus more on others in work, in relationships, in whatever else. I won’t have to keep focusing on finishing my own schooling.

So there is a lot going on–church, family, school, writing, reading, working, relationships, etc.–but yet there is so much joy to be found in everything going on around me. I am happier than I have ever been in life, I think.

And at the end of the day, I really don’t feel busy right now. Really. I have a lot of time to get the things done I need to. I have a lot of time to give to others, or I try to. I don’t always do so well, but I’ll get better.

So there are some things I have realized, a little bit where my thoughts are. Someday I will be good at making people laugh, but I guess introspective is where I am stuck right now.
