So I worked at a restaurant one summer and there was one lady I worked with who really made an impact on me. I tried to write a letter to her, but I have no idea if it made it to the right address or not.
Here’s the letter:
I hope this is the right address. If this is the right address, you worked with me for few months.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed working with you. You had a wonderful impact on me. I learned so much from your example and experiences. You are a great example in my life of strength and goodness.
I was always happier when I was able to work and talk with you. As you related some of the experiences in your life, and supported and listened to me, I felt of your great spirit. My testimony was strengthened, and I was grateful to have a sister in the gospel that I could work with. I was able to feel of things good and true in a place I didn’t expect to find it.
You brought light wherever you went. Your simple faith and endurance touched me. Even though I only knew you for a short time, it is an experience that I will forever cherish.
Thank you for being such a wonderful person and spending the time to sit and talk with me. I hope that your life is going well and continues to do so.
Again, thank you. Thank you for teaching me about life.
So I guess my point is, people can have a big impact for good on your life if you want them to. Don’t we all have people who just lift us up and make us feel important?
