Family Life

Busy fades away

I felt really busy. And then I wasn’t busy anymore. I’m happier when I’m not busy.

I hadn’t exercised for a few days, and then I decided to exercise this morning, and I felt so much better. Exercise helps so much to be energetic and happy and capable to do everything you need to do. If you aren’t exercising, do it, and it might solve half your problems.

BB got pants after growing out of all of his. My kids all have loved playing with neighbors up at our other house (it’s a little weird having two homes). MM got a letter from a friend–her friend doesn’t like math, but loves writing. And MM loves math and doesn’t like writing. That’s why we need to work together in life. SR is learning at his own pace, but likes to sing, but only the beginnings of songs. And EE is as energetic as ever, and often ends up in bed with us, and I don’t agree, but I’m asleep, so I don’t notice.

Homeschooling is going pretty well. We do science experiments/demonstrations. We learn math and language arts. We practice writing. We work on speech (which is helping! hooray!) and forget to practice piano. I discover that I don’t know something, so we learn about it together.

Water balloons frozen, sprinkled with salt, and then drizzled with food coloring:

And we went hiking to Landscape Arch, which was fun.
